Welcome to the University of Illinois Job Share System

This system is intended to allow authorized representatives of University of Illinois units to assist one another in completing short-term tasks, by posting those tasks or bidding on them. It should not be used as a workaround for long-term staffing issues.

The Job Share System is only for posting and bidding: financial transactions pursuant to a successful bid will be completed in Banner, which is not connected to this system.  If you have view-only access and would like to be able to post a job, email job-share@illinois.edu.

This system was funded as a demonstration project of the Illinois Informatics Institute (www.informatics.illinois.edu), to show how online auction systems could be adapted to optimize the use of human resources in a large organization. Red2 (www.red2.co.uk) did the development work and they host this system. The University of Illinois' Administrative Information Technology Services (www.aits.uillinois.edu) provided support for authentication.
